Marius Olsen has resigned as chief executive of Wenn after leading the company from August 2025 to September 2026. He will become the CEO of a newly established joint venture owned equally by Schibsted Media, Amedia and Polaris Media; Polaris and Amedia each acquire 33.3 percent of the shares so the three owners stand on equal footing. The three media groups reported the establishment of the full‑function joint venture to the Norwegian Competition Authority in August.
The venture is expected to target classified ads in a market where Finn.no holds a very dominant position. Wenn makes an AI‑based solution for damage recognition and documentation used when cars are handed over; its customers include car rental and valet parking companies. Andreas Ormestad Østberg, Wenn’s chief financial officer, has taken over as acting CEO. Olsen has a background at Schibsted and was a long‑time founder of Videocation before he led Wenn. Schibsted Media was separated from the marketplace business in 2024 and is fully owned by Stiftelsen Tinius. Polaris previously sold a 9.99 percent stake to Schibsted in 2024 for NOK 2.5 billion, after having entered the original ownership with five million kroner in 2000.
