Ingeborg Sofie Bogen and her company Saro Robotics were named Norway’s best pitcher at the DNB NXT 2026 competition, taking the 300,000 kroner top prize after competing against more than 250 companies. The contest narrowed the field through three qualifying rounds to four finalists — The Open Engine Company, Saro Robotics, Pentalys Energy and Novem — who each had three minutes on stage before the jury questioned them. The panel spent roughly half an hour deliberating before selecting the winner.

Saro Robotics develops climbing robots that inspect industrial pipes, with the aim of detecting rust underneath insulation and reducing the need to send people into hazardous environments. Bogen said the company has just signed its first customer projects with two industrial operators and is entering a phase of intensive testing and development.
