RunwayVC has completed the first close of its second fund at NOK 400 million, Shifter reports. The fund targets early-stage industrial technology companies. Aker is among the investors, alongside KLP, Investinor, Halliburton and several industrial families. The reported capital was committed to the fund; it was not a financing round received by one of its portfolio companies.
Shifter says the fund has already made investments in Minerva Humanoids and Hive Autonomy. RunwayVC has indicated that it aims to raise more capital, but has not disclosed a target for the final close. The NOK 400 million figure therefore describes the completed first close, not the eventual size of the fund.
