Oslo-based Oivi has expanded its automated retinal-camera business in the US, growing from about 20 to roughly 120 clinics in the past year, CEO Anders Eikenes told Shifter. The company sells a fully automated retinal camera with onboard AI diagnostics.
Sales have shifted from small Florida practices to larger health systems, where one contract can roll out to 20–100 sites, Eikenes told Shifter. He says screening takes about 90 seconds, can be done by a nurse and is covered by US reimbursement.
Norwegian parent accounts show Oivi AS posted NOK 70,000 in operating revenue in 2025 and a NOK 22.8m loss, with NOK 318,000 in cash; the auditor noted substantial uncertainty about continued operations. Notes say the company is seeking NOK 60m; after the balance sheet it secured NOK 6.9m in bridge financing and a NOK 4m credit line. The board expects to close the round in autumn, Eikenes told Shifter.
