Transistor DC has appointed Petter M. Tømmeraas as its new chief executive to lead the development of large-scale data centre campuses across the Nordic region aimed at hyperscale and AI customers. Tømmeraas joins with experience as former head of data centre services at Aker Horizons and Aker Nscale and as an initiator of Norsk Datasenterindustri.
The company says it is planning a portfolio with roughly two gigawatts of capacity and will in the initial phase target projects in Norway, Sweden and Finland. Transistor DC’s ownership group includes a number of prominent families, among them Aspelin, Tvenge, London and Heyerdahl, and the company operates with a Nordic team headquartered in Oslo. Tømmeraas has signalled a focus on securing power and grid access as central to success in the market.
