Aparta won the Impact Prize at the Nordic Fintech Awards for its platform that enables flexible home-sharing and a model of shared home ownership in which a fund takes a passive ownership stake in properties. Founder and CEO Eilin Schjetne described the award as particularly meaningful because it recognises a solution with real and scalable societal value. She said the platform’s independent co-ownership model can help many people get into or remain in the housing market across large parts of Europe.
Schjetne also appeared on Shifter’s podcast to discuss the company’s founder journey and its early customers in Iceland. Aparta was recently selected to compete at TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 2026 in San Francisco, where it will be the only Norwegian company and the only Nordic fintech presenting to global investors in October.
