Norselab has launched a new vehicle, Norselab Shipping & Energy, starting with NOK 1 billion in capital provided by the Odfjell family, Finansavisen reports. The firm says the fund is structured as an alternative investment fund (AIF) reserved for professional investors.
Norselab has signalled the vehicle will open to other investors in September or October and has communicated a capacity of about NOK 3 billion. The fund plans to hold 20–30 positions, split between liquid names aimed at short-term returns and less liquid securities targeting higher payment and longer holding periods.
This is Norselab's fourth fund in under four years, marking further expansion into shipping and energy investments, according to Finansavisen. Norselab has not disclosed any concrete purchases.
