Wolt has launched Wolt Capital in Norway to provide partner restaurants and shops with loans calibrated to the sales they generate through the platform. Repayments are automatically deducted as an agreed share of a partner’s Wolt revenue, so the repayment amount falls when sales are lower. Wolt says the loans carry a single fixed cost agreed up front and there is no fee for early repayment. Disbursements are typically processed within one to two business days.

The lending product is delivered by Berlin-based Finmid, and the financing is arranged through SIA Ascend Finance. Wolt Capital has already been rolled out in 20 other European markets, and Wolt says the first Norwegian payout went to a restaurant in Trondheim. Mattis Bergh, head of Wolt in Norway, says easy access to capital is something that frequently comes up in conversations with partners.
