Investinor has appointed Frida Rustøen to lead its fund investments team, a newly created position intended to increase institutional capital allocations to Norwegian venture funds and startups. Rustøen will start the role on October 26 and joins Investinor from Idékapital, where she helped build both a venture fund and a growth fund.
Her hiring follows a change to Investinor’s mandate that now allows the organisation to manage private capital through a fund-of-funds structure. Rustøen said she sees a clear need for more institutional capital to reach early-stage companies in Norway and that working from Investinor will give her a chance to address that shortage from the investor side. She will remain based in Oslo even though Investinor’s headquarters are in Trondheim.
