Finance Innovation announced in a press release that Marvel Skreien Stigen has been appointed to a newly created role as head of strategy and innovation at the Bergen-based national finance cluster. CEO Rea Parashar said Stigen will be central to further developing the cluster with particular responsibility for commercialization, growth and new business models, in close cooperation with members.
Stigen joins from Compact Food Solutions (formerly GC Rieber Compact), where she led market and innovation with responsibility for commercial leadership, sales, brand, communications and innovation across Norway, India and South Africa. Finance Innovation said she brings some 20 years of experience, including positions at Sparebanken Vest and Knowit Experience, and that she has led Bergen Næringsråd's expert group for Trade and Service until 2026.
Stigen said the cluster's non-profit mandate to strengthen innovation through collaboration appeals to her and that she is motivated to return to the finance sector. She told the press she looks forward to meeting the Finance Innovation team and members and contributing to the sector's development.
