Coherence Quantum, based in Espoo, has raised €2.78 million in Seed funding to develop an integrated cryogenic signalling and control platform for future quantum computers. This funding will primarily support advancements in the cryogenic infrastructure necessary for solid-state quantum processors, addressing critical challenges as quantum technology evolves.
The funding round was led by Helsinki-based early-stage investor Lifeline Ventures, with participation from technology entrepreneur Mårten Mickos. Petteri Koponen from Lifeline Ventures emphasized the importance of scaling the infrastructure crucial for quantum computing. Coherence Quantum originated from research at Aalto University’s Quantum Computing and Devices group, founded by Aashish Sah, Suman Kundu, and Erkki Soininen.
With this funding, Coherence Quantum aims to play a significant role in the development of larger quantum computers, offering essential infrastructure solutions.
