Dtablet, a health technology company, has secured NOK 4 million in a share issue to scale its smart pillbox, Dtablet Week. Among the new shareholders are product designer and investor Carl Andre Nørstebø and investor and entrepreneur Thomas Ulleberg.
The company has also appointed Bjørn Åge Brandal, a leader from Nordic Semiconductor, and Erlend Ramm, a veteran of reMarkable, to its board of directors. The new board members are expected to bring expertise in technology and product design as Dtablet seeks to expand its market presence.
Dtablet says it now has functioning prototypes based on a final product design. The next phase is to complete product development and make production tools and the production line ready for mass manufacture. Dtablet Week, paired with a companion app, alerts users when medication should be taken, records intake and adapts to the user’s daily routine. Investors say they backed the company to apply product-design experience and to help develop a meaningful solution that addresses a clear need.
