Breye Therapeutics, a Danish clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on oral treatments for retinal diseases, has successfully closed an oversubscribed €67.5 million Series A financing round. The funding attracted significant interest from both new and existing investors, including Mission BioCapital and Novo Holdings.

This financial boost will allow Breye to propel its lead candidate, danegaptide, for diabetic retinopathy towards clinical development. CEO Ulrik Mouritzen remarked on the round's significance, citing it as validation of Breye's vision and progress in its therapeutic pipeline.
